Casting call & safety protocol
Each show will require a minimum of 2 ASL interpreters.
Our approach involves script analysis, translation skills, timing & memorization. We actively seek interpreters with either BEI or RID certification. We will also accept resumes from pre-certified interpreters who have an upcoming test date for certification AND who have completed an internship in theatrical interpreting. Having fluency in ASL alone is not sufficient. The intricate process of simultaneous interpreting along with protocols regarding Theatrical interpreting must be obtained PRIOR to working on shows with SDGCR personnel.
